About Us
The purpose of the Powys Regeneration Partnership (PRP) is:
- To ensure a co-ordinated and integrated approach to economic and community regeneration in Powys founded on practical partnership working between private, voluntary, community and public sector organisations.
- To be responsible for the strategic management of the Rural Development Plan in Powys overseeing the implementation of this programme.
- To be responsible for the strategic management of the Structural Fund Programmes in Powys and act as the executive body of the wider Powys Regeneration Partnership in overseeing the implementation of these programmes.
- To co-ordinate such other county wide economic and community activities and/or programmes which the Partnership has approved.
Powys Regeneration Partnership was set up in 2000 to oversee the development, management and implementation of the current Objective 2 and Objective 3 programmes in Powys and is the only partnership covering Powys alone that has an overriding economic and regeneration focus. The Powys Regeneration Partnership is also the lead Partnership for the economic theme of the Powys Community Strategy.
The Powys Regeneration Partnership now has the central role in the management and delivery of elements of the Rural Development Plan in the county and also oversees the Rural Community Action Programme – ACE – Action Community Enterprise
